This event is over.

Event Name: User and Carer Celebration 2012

Event Location: Assembly Buildings, Fisherwick Place, Belfast

Event Date: 21 Nov 2012 at 10:00am to 3:00pm

The Patient and Client Council would like to invite you to its first User and Carer Celebration day in the Assembly Buildings, Fisherwick Place, Belfast on the 21st of November.

This is a day to recognise service users who have made positive contributions to the Health and Social Care Services.  The programme includes interviews with patients and service users, videos and an interactive session looking at service user involvement.   You will also have an opportunity to network and view the exhibition stands.  The keynote speaker will be Kate Richardson, who was one of the crew of an all-girl team who rowed across the Atlantic to raise awareness of human trafficking.

We will also present the Making a Difference Award to one of the Trusts for demonstrating how service user involvement has led to improvement in services.  Refreshments and Lunch will be provided.

As spaces are limited, please reserve your space(s) by completing our booking form by the 7th of November.

If you require any further information about the celebration event, please feel free to contact Paula at 0800 917 0222.

I look forward to seeing what developments have taken place since I departed from User involvement six years ago after many years of intense effort which led to huge frustration .My sense of the failure to impact positively on services and the lack of real respect and recognition for the experience of mental health experts by first hand inside knowledge and expertise.
