The NICON discussion series held on 18th October 2018, featured a great discussion session about the HSC Collective Leadership Strategy one year on with Myra Weir, Director of HR SEHSCT and Collective Leadership Strategy lead. Michael Bloomfield Chief Executive NIAS, hosted the discussion.

Joan McPartland, founding member of Hope 4ME Fibro and a member of the Patient and Client Council ME and Fibromyalgia Service User Reference Group was a guest speaker.  Joan shared her involvement experience and the significant outcomes achieved as a result of the efforts of patients for both ME and Fibromyalgia services,  working across Health and Social Care with the Patient and Client Council.  The role of service users and carers within the collective leadership strategy was both highlighted and welcomed.  Joan’s experience served to remind the some 60 delegates in attendance that effective partnership works and that the outcomes are significant and well evidenced.
