Patients’ Experiences at Antrim Area Hospital

The Patient and Client Council has been speaking to patients at the Accident and Emergency Department in Antrim Area Hospital, to understand their experiences of accessing services.

Chief Executive of the Patient and Client Council, Maeve Hully said

“There is no doubt that the Accident and Emergency Department and the Minor Injuries Unit were very busy at the time our staff were there.  The people we spoke to were complimentary of staff, however, issues around lengthy waiting times and the environment need to be appropriately addressed immediately.”

We are asking people who are accessing services in Antrim Area Hospital to contact the Patient and Client Council through our website or by calling the local office on 0800 917 0222 to share their views and experiences.
