Patient Safety Should Be A Key Priority

Following discussions today about issues arising from the General Dental Council’s report into the School of Dentistry, the Patient and Client Council is highlighting the importance of safe services for patients.

Louise Skelly from the Patient and Client Council says

“People have told the Patient and Client Council they really value dental services and they are concerned about access to safe services.  We know patients are concerned about the protection of front line staff, this includes ensuring staff are competent.  Patient safety should be a key priority and we welcome action now taken to address issues raised in the General Dental Council report.”
