Our Involvement Team are hosting a number of Coffee Connection events this month at venues throughout NI and would love to see you. Come along and join us, it's free...

NANDOS, The Richmond Shopping Centre, Shipquay Street, Derry, BT48 6PE on 18th October 2018 between 10am - 12noon

DOBBIES GARDEN CENTRE CAFE, 56 Saintfield Road, Lisburn, BT27 5BE - Date and Time TBC

MONTGOMERY'S, 38-41 Ballymoney Street, Ballymena, Co. Antrim, BT43 6AN on Tuesday 30th October 2018 between 10am - 1pm

DUNCAIRN CULTURAL & ARTS CENTRE, Duncairn Avenue, Belfast, BT14 6BP on Tuesday 13th November 2018 between 10am - 2pm

Our coffee connection events are intended to bring together PCC scheme members for an informal and friendly chat over a cuppa, on us.  The national health service belongs to us all.  And that includes you.  We have all needed or will be reliant upon the health service at some point in our lives.  It is now a statutory obligation to involve members of the public in proposed changes to our health care.  This is our chance to be involved in how funding is allocated and used. From identifying what services are to be offered to us, right through to how and when that service will be delivered, and everything in between.  Changes and improvements to our health care are always on the agenda and there are some hot topics on the table right now.  We'll be at a number of venues throughout Northern Ireland and would love you to come along.  You decide if you'd like to be involved and just how 'involved' you'd like to be...

More coffee meets are planned for:

Belfast: exact venues and dates to be announced shortly

Northern Trust: Antrim, Ballymena, Coleraine - exact venues and dates to be announced shortly

Southern: exact venues and dates to be announced shortly

South East: more dates and venues to be announced shortly

Western: more dates and venues to be announced shortly

Could you host a coffee connections event?  Do you own or manage a coffee shop, cafe or other suitable premises for holding a coffee meeting?  Our events are held over a couple of hours and usually involve quite small informal groups and we pay for the refereshments.  If you think you might be interested in hosting a coffee connections event then we'd love to hear from you.  Please email me with details at: pccmembership@hscni.net

This page will be updated regularly, so come back soon...

I think the Coffee Connections is a great idea and I will certainly attend one that might be held in Ballymena, sometimes these events are the only time that you can hear from others what exactly is taking place within the NHS.
