Following the temporary closure of the Accident and Emergency Department at Belfast City Hospital, the Patient and Client Council is highlighting the need for clear information on the alternatives available for patients in place of the Accident and Emergency service.
Maeve Hully from the Patient and Client Council says
“We know that the Belfast Trust has been communicating the temporary closure of Belfast City Accident and Emergency Department, but people need clear information about the alternatives given this change in service, including access to minor injury units and GP out of hours.
“We will continue to keep in touch with the Trust to understand how this change is impacting on patients and other hospitals in the Belfast Trust area.”
