Clear information needed for parents and families on Pseudomonas

Following the recent reports of the infection pseudomonas, the Patient and Client Council is highlighting the importance of the need for clear information for parents and families.

Maeve Hully from the Patient and Client Council

“This is undoubtedly a very difficult time for parents and their families.  Up to date, clear information should be provided to those parents currently in the neo natal unit and to those who are planning on having their baby in the neo natal unit.”

The Patient and Client Council will continue to keep in contact with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, to understand how patients, parents and families are being affected.
