Announcement from Chief Executive Maeve Hully

"As many of you know I am leaving the Patient and Client council after 9 ½ very happy years. It's bittersweet to leave an organisation you've enjoyed. All the people I have met and have worked with have meant so much..."

"I am proud to have been a member of the team, a team that included our staff, our board, our colleagues, our members and people right across Northern Ireland.  Together we have all been involved in some outstanding projects, projects that have or will make a genuine and lasting improvement.  Real time feed back, and HSC on line to name but a few.  And of course our Membership scheme, in so many ways our most important project of all.  It was the first Northern Ireland wide scheme that gave people an opportunity to have their say in anything and everything that concerned our health and social care.  The idea originally came from Louise Skelly and working closely with Matthew Weatherall and others they have nurtured it into what it is today.  However it is you the members that have made it work.  Your commitment, your energy and your enthusiasm has been constant and infectious.  You have ensured that together we have made a difference.

Thank you for  your belief, your support and your friendship. None of us achieve in isolation and the successes we've enjoyed together have been the result of our mutual cooperation and collaboration.  It's a pleasure and a privilege to have journeyed alongside people who are so committed to the values and beliefs of the Patient and Client Council.

In the middle of our daily business: meeting targets, initiating projects and developing new ones, it's all too easy to lose sight of the most important elements of all, the people and the vision.  You have made sure that did not happen.

The Patient and Client Council will go from strength to strength.  Through the recenty published Co Production Guide for Northern Ireland - Connecting and Realising Value through People your contrbution is more important than ever.

I plan to stay involved and have signed up as a member myself to ensure I do not lose touch!!

With sincere thanks and best wishes"

I am truly sorry Maeve that you are leaving PCC. Without your guidance and support and those of your excellent staff I would have had a very difficult time when my mother had a rough ride with a private company. Without PCC, I would have felt totally alone and probably unable to continue to cope with the difficulties I encountered.
You will be a real asset to your future employer and I wish you well. Kindest regards and best wishes
