Making A Complaint

The Patient and Client Council will help you and support you to complain about any part of health and social care.

We assist people in having their complaint dealt with.  We do not investigate complaints, or offer medical advice or legal advice, however we do offer a complaints support service.  Our service is independent, confidential and free.

The Patient and Client Council will:

  • Give you information on how to complain and who to complain to.
  • Help people to write letters of complaint.
  • Make telephone calls for you about your complaint.
  • Go with you to meetings about your complaint and make sure your concerns are heard and responded to.
  • Work with health and social care organisations to improve services as a result of your concerns.

Remember you can contact your local office to speak to a patient and client support officer on freephone 0800 917 0222 or email complaints.pcc@hscni.net.
