- Interim Chief Executive - Glynis Henry
Dr Glynis Henry CBE, retired from her position as the Head of the HSC Clinical Education Centre in September 2016 after a career spanning 36 years in the health service. Glynis began her career as a registered nurse in 1980 and went on to hold a variety of positions at practice, management, commissioning, strategic policy and Chief Executive levels in various health service organisation in Northern Ireland. Her career pathway offered her the opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with patients, clients, a wide variety of staff, multi-professional groups, and a diverse range of stakeholders both within and beyond the health and social care system. In 2012, during her tenure as Chief Executive Officer with the Northern Ireland Practice Education Council for Nursing and Midwifery Glynis was privileged to be a Panel member of the Willis Commission. The Commission, chaired by Lord Willis of Knaresborough, was in brief, established to consider the essential features of pre-registration nursing education in the UK and the types of support for newly registered practitioners. Glynis’ outstanding contribution to nursing and healthcare was recognised in 2014 when she was awarded the honour of Commander of the British Empire (CBE).
- Head of Operations - Louise Skelly
Mrs Louise Skelly is the Head of Operations for the Patient and Client Council. Prior to joining the organisation Louise worked for twenty seven years in various services management positions in health and social care. Louise also works as a lay magistrate for the Northern Ireland Court Service. Louise is married with one daughter and her interests include farming and sport horse breeding.
